Packing your suitcases can be quite a nerve-wracking process if you don’t make a list of items in advance. To help travelers, Oliver Cooper has compiled a list of essentials that you can keep so you don’t forget the most important things.
Any trip is preceded by tedious packing, often on the last night. Prepare the essentials in advance so you don’t have to worry at the airport if anything is forgotten. Also, a list of things you need for the trip will save you time preparing.
Of course, the full list of things will depend on where you’re going, for how long and with whom. But the basic set is always the same. Make sure you don’t forget to prepare.

1. Passport and other necessary documents for travel
Even if you go to another city, you need to have your ID card with you. The fact that without it they don’t let you go abroad is even better known. And despite this, every cab driver who drives to Boryspil has a story of how he returned with passengers for passports, or simply drove unsuccessful travelers home. Also take care of the documents you may need to check into a hotel, extra tickets for transportation or museums if you’re going to another country. After all, by buying your ticket online, you can avoid lines and save time.

2. Money
It seems obvious, but let us remind you that it is better to take money in several currencies, and always have extra money on the card. If you have your passport and money with you, you are not afraid of any force majeure.

3. Phone and charger
Now it’s hard to imagine a person who can leave home without his phone, but the charger and headphones are worth mentioning. Also download an offline map of the area (those are in the same Google Maps), where you’re going, so that you don’t have to look frantically for free Wi-Fi. And by the way, in some countries, such as China, you need a VPN to connect to the Internet. Of course, it should be installed in advance.

4. Clothing and shoes
Check the weather forecast before your trip and pack a few sets of matching clothes. Don’t forget socks, underwear and sleeping clothes. Also, always take at least one unseasonably warm thing to be prepared for any change in the weather.
You should also put in your suitcase several types of shoes, at least flip-flops and sneakers.

5. Bathroom Essentials
Many hotels provide guests with everything they need, but it is always better to have a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo and something soapy with you.

6. SPF protection
One of the most necessary things in the summer season, because travel should not turn into sunburned skin. It is also worth grabbing and after-sun cream to soothe the skin in case anything happens. Sunglasses are also worth mentioning.

7. Head Covering
Another summer must-have from the heat and sunstroke. Depending on your preference and the type of travel, be sure to bring either a practical cap or a stylish panama, or a resort classic – a spectacular hat.

8. Beach supplies
If you’re going to the sea, make sure you have a swimsuit or swim trunks, a towel, a mat and anything else you’ll need to rest comfortably.

9. Extra comforts
You need different things on different trips, but a thermo or reusable cup, insect bite repellent, and a good book will never be superfluous.
